Global Gems and Geology, LLC is owned and operated by Dr. Lawrence Snee, Ph.D. and Certified Professional Geologist #11085. The company consults for governments and other companies to understand the geologic environment of mineral deposits, including gemstones, gold, and other resources. To that end, our basic geologic tools include field studies, remote sensing, geochemistry, petrographic studies, structural and tectonic analysis, and consultation with a wide range of geological expertise, both local and international. Our strength is the ability to synthesize this wide range of data and knowledge to come to scientific conclusions on geologic occurrence and potential of the deposits of interest.

We have more than 30 years of experience in these endeavors and our record is clearly documented in more than 300 publications, including books, maps, scientific articles, and abstracts of presentations at meetings, as well as a rapidly growing list of clients.

Past studies have been in a wide range of subjects throughout North America, and in many countries in the world including Pakistan, Afghanistan, China, Australia, Peru, Venezuela, Brazil, Portugal, England, Uzebekistan, Tajikistan, Mexico, Panama, Guatemala, Spain, and elsewhere.

We are interested and willing to participate in similar efforts anywhere in the world in an attempt to help understand and develop valuable resources. We want to see emerging markets/countries develop and grow. We intend to help in this effort. Our current areas of interest are Brazil, China, Afghanistan and Spain.
